Worst mani/pedi ever

I had read a glowing review and was eager to try the solon. I called for an appointment, left a message and , even after a few weeks, no one ever returned my call. I decided to just drop in. There was room and I was seated right away. That was a good thing. I asked for a French mani/pedi and then the experience started to go bad. Maybe I was expecting too much, but the pedi was minimal. She did my toes and scrubbed the bottoms of my feet, but there was no massage when she put lotion on my legs, no hot towels… When it came time to do the polish part, the person doing my pedi moved on to someone else and the person doing my nails finished the pedi – which is fine. Unfortunately the person doing my nails did even a worse job. My cuticles needed to be trimmed and she didn’t do that. When she started doing the French, she did not get the line right, she didn’t get the line on all of the nail and two of the fingers had ridges where she pushed the white stuff up rather than removing it. When I tried to tell her about it she didn’t understand - so I told her to take it off and that I would pick another color instead of doing French. Even with just polish she didn’t get polish on the whole nail. On some of my fingers and toes there was no polish on the sides of the nails at all. I can do that! On the left big toe she put 3 coats but only put 2 coats on the other 9 toes so the one big toe was a different color (the color changes with the number of coats). The polish on 3 of my fingers had bubbles in the polish. When I brought all this to one of the people who spoke better English, she took the polish off my big toe and redid it with just 2 coats. I asked her to please clean off the white stuff that was still on my fingers from where the other person had started to do the French nails and then showed her why else I was unsatisfied with my mani. She asked me if we could do it over. I said no, that I had already been there for an hour and a half and I needed to get going. I asked her how much I owed her and she said $28 – full price!!! I was shocked! I was willing to pay something for but not full price for a subpar mani/pedi. She offered no discount for the bad mani/pedi but basically told me if I didn’t like it, don’t pay for it. So I didn’t! And I plan on telling everyone I know not to go to that solon.

So far I've been Happy Nails Salon's customer for years (almost 15+ years), and I am still very please with their services. They are professional, friendly, and their prices are very reasonable, especially the combos.
