Absolutely unethical practice. My daughter called to get the price for an eye exam and was told $99.00. Then she was charged over $300 after being seen and had to pay over $100 out of pocket because this optometrist wouldn't accept insurance's payments only. My daughter was very upset and was totally misled. This is not even an ophthalmologist who is a physician with a medical degree. In Michigan, we pay $80 for the same exam and have never been charged this amount even by an ophthalmologist. Total fraud.
