After telling me they had worked on Subarus, they took two hours and told me they could not find the problem, that I needed to leave the car with them. They talked about the vehicle needed a head gasket and an engine rebuilt. According to them, parts were hard to get, would be really expensive and take days. I finally decided to try to make it home, about 100 miles and if it died on the way, I would leave it. They charged me over $70.00. I drove home and went right back to the lot where I bought the car. The lot owner came out, tightened the gas cap and noticed that the clamps that held the lid on the air filter were unclipped. Guess what? No more check engine light and no more whistling. Either these guys know nothing about fixing cars or they were trying to rip off a traveler. In either case, they dont deserve your business!!
