I visited Alaska this summer and wanted to see some local fur products, my hotel recommended I visit Alaska Fur Gallery, I loved this Store Amazing service, nice family owed business, I was treated like royalty. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a fur product Frankie l.

This is my favorite Alaska Fur Shop! Every time I stop there they are always so nice. I've had a lot of work done there on my furs and they am very satisfied by their work. Great Store, great people, Great furs.

Thank you Miriam for helping me select the beautiful Tanuki fur for my ruff. You did an outstanding job of attaching via zipper! People checking this out: Alaska Fur Gallery has outrageously great customer service! This ruff was attached in 1 day! I flew in to Anchorage, picked my ruff fur and, knowing that I was only staying 5 days they bent over backwards to accomodate me! You just can't beat that! I highly recommend this store. I'd attach a picture of my hood/ruff to this review if I could just so that you could see the quality, etc. EXTRAORDINARY experience! Michelle P

Their showrooms are beautiful and when you are there the staff are very friendly. Discover them while on an Alaskan cruise this summer.



But once you purchase something and need some alterations everything changes. I purchased a mink coat that needed some minor alterations, after paying for the item in full and being told it would be shipped within a week I became extemely disappointed. Customer service and communication were awful.



The coat was not delivered for nearly 3 months after the date of purchase! Everytime I called to check the status of the coat I was told it was being sent within the next few days. Well those days turned into months with many many phone calls on my behalf to see where my jacket was. When it was finally shipped it was delivered on my doorstep without the requirement of a signature....a $4,000.00 coat was just left to sit on my stoop until I arrived home.



Shortly after having the coat, in fact, only had worn the coat twice...some of the stitching related to the alterations gave way. I needed to have it repaired inorder to wear it. Instead of paying for shipping and insurance to mail it back to Alaska - especially not knowing how long it would take for me to get it back - I took it to a local fur dealer for repairs.



My local fur dealer gladly made the repairs free of charge but commented when they opened the jacket to make the repairs they discovered the stitching/alterations to be that of a "Christmas Eve" special....meaning the stitching of the alterations was completed very quickly and lacked quality and proper technique. You would think for as long as they had my coat, the alterations should have been made properly and show quality workmanship!!!



Moral of the experience....shop local, avoid the Alaska Fur Gallery. They know they will not see you again therefore quality workmanship and customer service are lacking.
