Cheap Wheels closed - see photo - Mike is now renting again - but is accepting E. B. T. Which is welfare / food stamp program - not understanding how a "rental car company" is accepting the E. B. T. - Caution - read the contract and stay clear!







Company overcharges and runs a deceptive business - called the Anchorage Police Department - due to Mike refusing to explain rental car charges - Anchorage PD advised contacting the Attorney General - Better Business BBB states business is not.a member in good standing - stay away from this place and the hidden illegal charges cannot give this business a rating (should be 0 stars) Owner claims to rent to federal government - however Federal Government will not allow employees to rent from this business - checked Gov Trip - this should tell you something - incident report filed with APD - Mike cannot deny this. Also business claims to be BBB accredited - go to BBB site and it's not - appears to be a lie - deceptive advertising. Stay Clear

After promising not to charge us for the extra day required to return our rental as we were delayed by a natural disaster (Sockeye Fire - June, 2015), he charged us anyway. He was difficult to deal with and unwilling to listen or admit his promise.



If Cheapwheels seems cheaper, it may well turn out not to be!

Great Prices that beat the competition by 30% or more, Excellent customer service, . Mike and Cindy, the owners, treated me like family. Cars are reliable with higher mileage and clean.

Had too many problems renting because I am local. The other places actually ran credit checks like I was buying the car and, even though I had a CC with $1000 available credit, wouldn't rent me a car for the day.

Cheap came through for me.

The cars are nice and the price is better than any of the others.

The owner of this business does not engage in moral business practices, shirks responsibility at every turn, and ceases conversations when they're not going his way. Avoid this rental company.
