Been dealing with Bowens for over 20 years and everything has been great. Called to ask if I could pay for a ton of pellets and pick them up at 2pm today and the girl was nasty and told me they weren't holding pellets for anyone. If this is the way Bowens is going I guess I'll take my account somewhere else.

I've been a customer for about 9 months, going to the store every week and spending about $500 a month. No customer recognition at all. The morning cashiers are nice and usually in a good mood. The warehouse guys are hard workers and never leave me waiting. The guys in the garden section won't help a woman - which is a shame since I needed six wheelbarrows. But ACE was happy for my business. On a separate occasion, I had a poor experience with one of the family members, and wrote an email complaining. Never heard anything back. They claim family owned business, customer service, warm friendly atmosphere... it's all talk. I gave three stars because the feed prices are good, but I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Great store, but their Stihl service department is another story. Plan on bringing your chainsaw or weed trimmer back at least 3 times before they get it right! Frustrating is an understatement! Maybe go elsewhere for service. I wonder if they ever thought of trying out the machine after the "repair" to see if it actually is fixed before you come to get it only to bring it back again... Ugh. Rest of the store is top notch! i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended because

Its a great place for all sorts of things, bird feed, feeders, gardening supplies. The staff is so nice and helpful.

Just wish they would carry decent dog food --the lines they carry are so 1980's and poor quality food. I see Taste Of The Wild in Tractor Supply - they should at least have that.

Why can't the fancy boys with their MBA's and BMW's watch these people at work. Bowen's helps, answer questions, will refer to a competitor if necessary and they care.

This is a 5 star store. They have all the hard to find items and old-schoolhelpful assistance. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. If you are aSTIHL operator, the selection is superb!

Are you tired of getting no or little help from Home Depot . . . this is your place. I think it is family owned. All I know is that they bend over backwards to help you. And they really know their stuff. I've used them for small engine repair . . . lawn/grass issues. Very nice people - highly recommended.
