A friend and I stopped here for lunch, we had the following:
Pani puri
Dahi puri
Paav bhaji
Khandvi
Chai
All this for $17. Everything tasted heavenly. The chaat here reminded me of the good old days in Bombay. I tried out Khandvi for the first time ever and I personally feel that the taste has to grow on you or something..but it wasnt that bad.
We also had a take home order of some sweets- Mango burfi and Jilebi. I sneaked out a few pieces of the burfi before we got home.. it tasted awesome!
A must try place for chaats! I will be going back here whenever I visit Artesia.
A lot of variety of indian snacks and sweets. Parking is a pain sometimes.
Had been a few times to the same place which is also in San Diego but hadnt been there since I left. However I recently found out that it was in Artesia as well and we decided to head out there.
And man, is it still great!
Its a fast food kind of Indian takeout with a bit of seating area as well though it tends to get crowded on the weekends. Prices are extremely reasonable with most items below the $6 range. I had Pani puri and taste reminded of my good old days in India, also tried Delhi chaat which was kind of sweet(too much yogurt) for my tastes but good all the same. Jalebi was yummy as it is in most places, Masala Chai is not as great as you get in the Topanga location of India Sweets and Spices but good.
All in all a wonderful experience!

I am Indian, I am Basically from Mumbai ,india and I regularly have Indian food outside. I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my Birthday because my Friends are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my all friends to be impressed and they were really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the birthday.The customer service was great and Offcourse India is Great Than That of Other Countries.I am very proud to be an Indian.REGARDS - Ashish Pandey ( Mumbai, India )
