The company is engaged in research and development pertaining to surface friction, abrasion and lubrication. It produces carbon brushes, sintered bearings, sintered machine parts, carbon bearings, holder assemblies, sintered-metal filters, electric contact points, resistors and parts for electrical equipment used in the automotive industry. TRIS USA was established in 1991 to produce carbon brushes, holder assemblies and products that are fabricated through the use of powder metallurgy. Among the company s customers are Associated Fuel Pump Systems Corporation, ASMO Greenville of North Carolina, ASMO North Carolina, DENSO, Delco Remy America, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America and Visteon Corporation. TRIS USA is headquartered in Athens, Ala.
