Provided by YPmobileHad breakfast their this morning. It's a casual, clean environment. Started with fried green tomatoes that weren't cooked enough and were pretty bland(not to mention cost too much!) The bacon & egg scramble was really good and so were the cheese grits(don't add salt). Biscuits are really heavy, but were good with the raspberry jam. $3.50 each for a glass of milk & apple juice seems a little expensive.

Provided by YP.comCooper, the owner / manager, and her staff did a wonderful job catering my daughter's weddingin June 2012. The Bride and Groom enjoyed dining there, while students at UGA and the menu suited their tastes for the wedding reception. Had 150+ guests and the food was fresh and plentiful. We had barbeque pork and chicken w/2 sauces, green salad, fruit, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, assorted breads, tea, lemonade, and water. I would recommend!

Provided by YPmobileI've been to Mama's Boy twice since we moved to Athens a month ago. I would call it Hippie Southern trendy food but I mean that in a good way. You can find Southern classics like biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, etc but with a twist. The first time the kids and I had lunch. My daughter and I shared fried chicken with asparagus and made a substitution of sweet potato mash for regular mash. My son had a pork chop with a fruit compote and sweet potato mash. Both dishes were delicious and the portions generous. All entrees come with a huge biscuit that you can sweet raspberry sauce in from the bottle on the table. It was so big that we considered it dessert and were stuffed. I like that cold drinks are served in Mason jars. You also get mini York peppermint patties with the bill, which is a cute touch.
The second time we came for brunch on the weekend, but since UGA was out for the summer, we quickly got a table. Again, our portions were huge and everything was tasty. We were impressed that our server offered to prepare to go cups of coffee - no extra charge.
