It was firststarted by Walter Anderson Sr. in Tennessee to offerquality maintenance supplies to the Industrial marketplaceof manufacturers. In Tennessee Walter Sr. was employedby a Manufacturers Rep firm to oversee and grow thecompanys sales of commercial and industrial supplyproducts. In 1975 Walter Sr. came toAtlanta, GA fromTennessee to work for the Rep firm that would furtherdevelop his know how to eventually go into business forhimself. So, in 1975, Walter Sr. created his ownbusiness,Dixie Industrial Supply and began calling on areaIndustrial accounts to purchase the Industrial Equipmentthat he was selling. His wife Marlene was by his side,handling calls, replacement parts, and doing thebookkeeping. His son Walter Anderson Jr., currently ourPresident, has been working for the company since 1985.Dixie Industrial Supplys knowledgeable, enthusiasticand friendly staff has a main goal of taking care of thecustomer.
