- OtolaryngologyDr. Lefkoff is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He completed undergraduate work at both Washington University and University of Georgia. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Lefkoff returned to Atlanta for his surgical and specialty training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University. He then moved to Los Angeles for a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery under Dr. Frank Kamer and then joined him in private practice in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Lefkoff now has offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Beverly Hills, California.
- Reconstructive SurgeryDr. Lefkoff is Board Certified in both Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery. He performs the whole spectrum of facial cosmetic surgery, including facial rejuvenation surgery and nasal surgery. He has staff privileges at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
- BotoxBOTOX® Cosmetic is an injection that is placed in facial muscles. The toxin is a diluted version of the botulinum toxin. BOTOX® Cosmetic temporarily paralyzes specific facial muscles so that they can not contract and create facial lines and wrinkles. The toxin does wear off after several months and therefore needs repeated treatments for the desired effect.
- Brow LiftAs the face begins to age, the brows and forehead often show the first signs of aging. Facial and orbital bone structure, heredity, personal facial expressions, sun and environment all effect the appearance of the brow and forehead tissue. Wrinkles, frown lines, and a heavy hooded brow all create an angry, sad or tired look. Endoscopic techniques are available which allow these aging changes to be corrected through small incisions hidden in the scalp.
- Eyelid SurgeryCosmetic surgery of the eyelids is needed to restore the eyelids to a more youthful form. Puffy eyelids, as well as loose redundant folds of eyelid skin can be improved with eyelid surgery. Since the eyes are the “windows to the soul”, it is important not to change the shape of the eyes. To create a more youthful eyelid, while maintaining form, requires aesthetic, artistic, and surgical talent.
- LiposuctionThis is a type of advanced liposuction. Laser energy technology is used at the time of the liposuction. A thin wand, with the laser passing through the wand, is passed under the skin into the fat tissue. The heat energy of the light both melts the fat “into butter”, allowing for more complete removal of the fat, as well as tightening of the skin.
- RhinoplastyNasal surgery is used to improve or correct the appearance and/or function of the nose. When the results are ideal, the nose should look natural. The resulting nose should fit the face well and not appear obvious that surgery has been performed. There is a wide range of possible improvements, however the trend is to correct less rather than more. Rhinoplasty can be performed on teenagers and young adults with a nasal deformity they would like to change. Older adults with changes in the nose, due to loss of skin elasticity and gravity, can also have excellent results with rhinoplasty.
- Plastic SurgeryLawrence A. Lefkoff, M.D., F.A.C.S. limits his practice to only facial cosmetic surgery. Following his training in facial plastic surgery, with a fellowship in Beverly Hills, CA. under Frank Kamer, M.D. at the Lasky Clinic, Dr. Lefkoff sought only the best for his patients. Limit what you do, stay focused, and do it well, has always been the goal of his practice. The art of operating on faces, and only faces, requires special attentiveness to detail. A person’s face is who they are, and how they are seen and recognized. This demands complete predictability in technique and result.
- Face LiftFacelift surgery is commonly performed on a patient in their forties, fifties, and sixties. However, patients in their thirties as well as seventies and even eighties may be a candidate. It is important to remember we are operating on tissue not age, and therefore age is not the deciding criteria. Most important is that results be natural and have an “un-operated look”.
- Neck LiftAging of the face and neck is inevitable. A rhytidectomy is the classical procedure used to create a more youthful face, chin, jawline, and neck.
- Blepharoplasty
- Laser ResurfacingThe Contour laser allows for precision of depth, removal, and tightening of facial skin wrinkles. By using a computer generated energy of laser light, greater precision, accuracy, and, control can be achieved. The technology uses both ablation(removal of top layers of skin into dust) and thermal energy to tighten the skin. This allows for adjustments suited for each patient’s needs and skin types. The laser actually planes down the wrinkles and stimulates new collagen growth in the deeper layers of skin.
- Cosmetic SurgeryThese are people that are basically happy with themselves, happy with whom they are, but they want to maintain or hold onto their appearance. This is the goal of facial cosmetic surgery: To maintain that youthful, fresh appearance, to resolve conflict, to both feel and look youthful and fresh.
