Founded in 1926, Concordia University is part of the Concordia University System and is affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Located in Austin, Texas, Concordia University is a private, coeducational institution of business, education, adult education, and liberal arts and sciences offering various undergraduate and graduate degrees. It also offers an accelerated degree programs for part-time students and adult returning students. The university enrolls more than 1,100 students and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of College and Schools. It also has a library that houses a collection of more than 55,000 volumes and a periodical collection of over 700 titles. The university has athletic teams for baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
