      Established in the late 1980s, Lakota Guides is a provider of river rafting and whitewater rafting trips in Colorado. The firm s team of adventure sports guides includes skiers, snowboarders, hikers, climbers, kayakers, mountain bikers, runners, students and world travelers. The company offers guide school courses that help in identification of river features, navigation through rapids, river rescue and river/shoreline etiquette, to name a few. Lakota Guides operates under special use permits from the White River National Forest. Lakota Guides collaborates with The Kind Cyclist, Apex Mountain School, Trail Wise Guides and Pyranha Kayaks.
