As a collector with 15 years of experience, I have found that Louisiana Gold & Coins pays well below current value for coins. I have tried to sell coins to them on multiple occasions, but their offer was always more than doubled by other dealers in the area. The buying experience is not much better. The employees stand over you the entire time you look at the coins. This made me very uncomfortable. It is not a very conducive atmosphere for beginning collectors who want to try to learn. The staff are not overly friendly or knowledgeable. Prices are high and not flexible. The selection of coins is good, but not better than what is available on the internet at a better price. I do not recommend this dealer.
