1. Health Maintenance / Preventative Medicine Routine vaccination and deworming is a vital part of your horse’s day-to-day health. Annual coggins testing is also performed. Located in Benton, Louisiana, just north of the Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Area, Red River Equine Hospital is an equine referral and primary care facility, serving equine communities in Louisiana, east Texas, southeastern Oklahoma, and southern Arkansas. We are happy to treat horses of ALL disciplines, from miniature ponies to Thoroughbred racehorses.
