“VEG has revolutionized veterinary emergency medicine by taking customer service - for the pet, pet parent, and primary care veterinarians - to the next level and having a laser-sharp focus on ‘emergency care’,” said Dr. David Bessler, founder of VEG. “By partnering with primary care veterinarians, like BetterVet, VEG continues to help people and their pets when they need it most.”

You would think that after many years and thousands of dollars a vet that says they care, would allow our poor old Border Collie, Patches to languish in pain for two additional and unnecessary days. We had an appointment for at home Euthanasia for Monday Feb 13.
As heartbreaking enough as it is to have Patches put down, we get a cancellation at the last minute. After hours of being on hold and trying to contact a “human” to take our call, we finally take a call form a “Potential Spam” caller and find out the that the only Doctor that can do the Euthanasia is sick and that we should call another company or take a Wednesday Feb 15 to have our long time family member put down. All sympathy and compassion was swept aside as the conversation took on a “Nothing Personal, Just Business” mam tone. (Courtney, bad Girl)Our levels of revolt and disgust are just North of our levels of frustration and anger. What ever the cost of this service turns out to be in cash, will never cover the cost of 48 hours of suffering our beloved dog Patches paid.
As a senior lady in her 70's, I don't need the additional stress of loosing my long time friend and seeing her suffer needlessly. Instead of thinking of her waging her tail as I enter my now lonely room, I will have the vision of that poor girl laying half under my bed with eyes saying “Mommy, when can I pass on?”
Dr. Bessler, please adjust your laser-sharp focus!
