Thank you soooo much for looking after Bentley today. Our last minute planning activities did not allow but yours did!

Not only were you able to add him to your already busy day, you were able to do it with grace and ease as if it was supposed to happen that way.

Your comforting way with us and Bentley are very much appreciated we will certainly call you again when in the area.

this is a perfect place to take my boyz while visiting new england. my two very large, demanding dogs, have issues that jamie handled with ease and grace. he gave them (and me) lots of customized attention and advice that was in no way preachy. his love of dogs - and animals in general - comes through as a straightforward, matter-of-fact, voice of experience. i wouldn't hesitate to send any dog here, even one you think might not tolerate it. you can trust jamie to tell you if it's not working out, and his expertise makes it seem like there's rarely a dog who won't tolerate the setting he created. he gives medicine, a bath if you request, takes them for long walks on the trail, and sends updates on how they're doing. really, the level of care they're getting here, you'd expect for child care. if you love your dog the way i do, you'll appreciate that they're not in kennels. outside, there's a large fenced area where most of the dogs play. inside he has crates for dogs who need them, and isolated areas for dogs who need that. senior dogs can stay inside if they prefer. seriously, if you're hesitant at all, just arrange a visit ahead of time and he will allay all of your concerns. i'm really happy i found this place.

Jamie helped us out in a pinch when we had nowhere to leave our dog as we were headed on vacation. He was accommodating, professional and you could tell he has a genuine passion for animals and people. We got a tired, happy and well cared for dog back after 3 days and knew he was in good hands while we were gone. We got updates from Jamie and I know our dog had as much fun in Vermont as we did. Highly recommend!

We had to go away for the night just a few weeks after getting our puppy and were nervous about leaving her, but Jaime at Happy Hound Vermont was the perfect fit. He sent emails throughout the weekend letting us know how she was doing. She came back to us totally exhausted from a fun weekend running the trails and playing with the other dogs. We will be using Happy Hound VT again for sure.

We were looking for an alternative to a traditional kennel and found this great place for our dog. This is such a nice spot and offers the opportunity for our dog to get out and run around. They did a great job taking such good care of him! It is also very convenient as it is nearby for us. I highly recommend Happy Hound if you wan't to get away and can't take your buddy with you.

We've left our dog with Jamie at The Happy Hound VT several times now and every time we feel so grateful for the care he gets. Hikes every day (often several times a day), play time with other dogs, lots of attention - it's doggy camp in a beautiful setting! Jamie really does have a gift with animals (and people too) - I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Jamie took great care of our dog. His facility was beautiful- walking trails in the woods and a comfortable home for the dogs. He sent photos to us of our dog having fun playing and comfortably sleeping in the dog bed. It was a great vacation for the dog!

Jamie was the nicest and most helpful person. He has a great spot for dogs: lots of open space outside for exercise and romping in the woods, a small facility right in their home so dogs get a homey personal experience. It is not like putting your dog in a kennel, but rather a vacation away from home. You will find no place better to leave your pet.

Happy Hound is aptly named. Jaime is a real dog lover and what a better place to board our gentlemanly old guy than with him. Boy, a home stay beats a wire cage where you pay ala carte for walks, playtime, and simply attention. If you are heading up to this part of Vermont, this is the place for your special dog. I'll never forget the look on Buddy's face when Jaime picked him up to carry him down the 4 stairs to the yard...before, he hated being picked up - then he looked so happy! He's simply too old to navigate steps anymore - to watch him happily get picked up after our trip was memorable. Anyway, I highly recommend Happy Hound for overnights or day boarding. Your dog deserves a vacation too.
