Had Bruce come out to do some work for my house. Very prompt and showed up to start work. How ever he misquoted me $700, plus he kept asking for more and more money. Money for his friend, money for gas. Then he wanted me to tack on another $300 for labor. All in all his original quote was $1000 and when it was all said and done was $1700 not including the 20s I gave him for gas. So A job that was supposed to be 2-3 days, was going on 2 weeks. Seemed like a nice guy, but his work ethic was extremely poor. My biggest complaint was he kept disappearing from the job and he was always late. The day I fired him, he was an hr and a half late, showed up at 1030, left 3 times before leaving at noon with no communication. Around 5pm after not hearing from him, I fired him. I had to have pros come in to un do the mess he did. Pipes weren't deep enough, some were glued some weren't, so my new crew came in and tore all his mess out and started fresh. To sum it up, his work was shady, it was a god awful horrible experience. His personal life whatever that is was more important than the job. I DO NOT recommend hiring this guy for anything. He more or less took me for $1100 before I caught onto him and was extremely frustrated that it wasn't getting done when he promised me good quality work. Just avoid this guy and hire pros.
