A moving company, or any company, shows there real character not when things go well, but when things go wrong. That is the case with Fox Atlanta movers. Fox instructions tell customers to unplug, disconnect ice makers and open the doors 24 hours before the move. I disconnected the ice maker line from the refrigerator, not the valve because the owners of my new house left one of a better quality. I followed those instructions as requested. On Saturday the movers without any instruction from me disconnected the water line from the valve. I was gone getting a U-Haul truck so I did not witness exactly what they did. The next morning we returned to continue with our move. When we entered to kitchen floor was wet from the water slowly leaking from the ice maker valve. The water damaged about 1/3 of the wood floor. I called Fox movers and the first words out the manager (Antonio) was "the contract states" we do not touch appliances except to move them. For 15 minutes this was their excuse to absolve themselves from any responsibility. I told him it was not me who broke the contract, his workers did. It is apparent they broke their company's policy, not me. This is not the end. While I was loading boxes into the U-Haul they drove to our new house where my wife was waiting. Now keep in mind Fox employees do not do anything but move appliances, says the manager. Well they promptly connected both the refrigerator but my washer too. They would have hooked up the dryer but the outlet was a 4 prong 220 and my plug was a 3 prong. The movers damage the drain hose attached to the washer too. Sunday evening my daughter ran the first load of cloths. Within a few minutes water was pouring into the finished basement. Fox managed to cause water damage at two locations in one move. The manager said we would interview the crew and get back with me. He called back and stated the employee only acted on my instructions and he asked the me to close the main valve. This was a lie as I was not even there. I was picking up a U-Haul. The manager left me a text message stating it was not me who was turning off valves but another customer at another move in Grayson. Keep in mind this is the same guy who says they don't work on appliances. This is three homes in one day they did what this manager insists they do not do "as the contract states". That was the last I heard from Fox. I called twice and nobody returned my calls. In addition to the above stated damage they also managed to dent the stainless steel refrigerator they also chipped and damaged several pieces of furniture.

This company showed no concern about my property, they were only interested in deflection and assigning blame to everyone but themselves. This company should not be trusted. As stated at the beginning of this comment companies show their real character when things go wrong. Fox failed at every level in this regard. They only made excuses, quoted the contract (which they broke) and showed absolutely no concern about what they had done to my property. I would not recommend this company to my worst to my worst enemy.

The moving crew gets five stars plus! They moved the whole house from here to the new place (about 20 miles away) in less than 5 hours. That included living room, a huge bedroom suite with an adjustable bed that's a pain to move, and an office suite that's massive, along with front load washer/dryer. All that had to come down stairs!



At the new place, it all had to go down stairs again.



All three of these young men worked their tails off, never stopped once, and were very careful. You could tell they worked well together. The only casualty was a chipped corner on the top of an entry table that had a very thin stone veneer on it. I saw how they padded it for the move, so I don't think that was their fault



The only reason they don't get a full five stars is I think they may overbook their crews. We had them scheduled for sometime between 2 and 4 yesterday. They called us at 4 to tell us the guys were still on the first job.

MOVERS BEWARE! I had a move scheduled for 9:00 this morning. Someone called at 8:30 to say the truck had a flat tire and they would be arriving around 11 or 12 instead. Noon came and went with no word from them. When i called, i was told it would be another 35 minutes which was inaccurate. The movers finally showed up at 2:00 and told me i was their 3rd move of the day. Clearly, the customer service person lied to me from the beginning about the reason for their lateness - and i genuinely don't think the company ever intended to keep our 9:00 appointment.



The movers packed my things without incident but the unpacking did not go well. They managed to put a hole in my wall and a huge, deep scratch in the hardwood floors. I honestly didn't blame the movers who were clearly exhausted from their 3rd move of the day. I blame the company for their ridiculous and dishonest scheduling. Do yourself a favor and choose any other moving company.

I called Fox Moving on Friday 5/15 about scheduling movers for Saturday 5/16 after I cancelled the other company I had hired due to a misquoted price and time estimate (a $400 difference between two employees). Sam, from Fox Moving, was very polite and professional on the phone and assured me the movers would arrive by 10am.



On 5/16 (moving day!) I received a phone call early that morning asking if it was ok for the movers to arrive early (9:30am) and they were there as promised.



Brian and Alvin (the movers) were very polite and extremely professional. They got to work quickly, were very well-prepared, protected all of our belongings, and were very respectful. I was beyond impressed with these men!



I was initially hesitant because if the poor reviews on Yelp but I had an amazing experience. I would hire Fox Moving again without hesitation if I needed to move again.



Excellent choice of movers. They were very hardworking and I loved working with them.

Wow, Brian and Alvin were great, top notch movers at Fox Moving. These guys were professional and courteous. They worked hard and fast, but very careful with our items. I would truly recommend Brian, Alvin, and Fox, well done!!

My husband and I used Fox relocation services last week, they were top notch, handled our items with care and the young fellas were friendly and made us feel comfortable and care free, well done fox.

It started out well when I called the scheduling office. They were very pleasant and easy to work with. They gave me a 2 hour window of when they would arrive on the day that I requested. Only problem is they didn't show up until 1.5 hours after the 2 hour window closed. Once the two movers did arrived I didn't even receive an appology for their tardiness. I will say one mover was great. If both were half as motiviated as he was, five stars wouldn't have been enough and the tardiness would have been overlooked. Instead the other gentleman was extremly lazy, and that is tough to stomach when I'm paying $109 an hour. He continuously wanted to take a smoke break, roughtly $12.72 break for me at 7 minutes for a cigarette. Not only that, he would sit and rest a few minutes every 20 minutes or so while constantly complaining about his bad knee, all while his co-worker was telling him to get to work and company policy was to rest in the truck, not while moving. He even asked me one time while his co-worker was loading the truck, "do you think my partner will get mad if I take a break?" I answered with a yes, but he sat and took a 5 minute break anyway right in front of me. He only got up when he heard his co-worker coming up the stairs. I called the office to complain, and they routed me to the Atlanta hub. Apparently the scheduling is taken care of in TN. I left a message and didn't receive an call back. After a week I called back and was transfered to another manager. I received her voicemail. She actually did call back, and after hearing my story said she would address this with the Atlanta office and get back to me. She just got back to me and said they would knock off $10 per hour, which is a $40 return. My last apartment, with the same stuff in it, minus 1 room's worth that I gave away/took to goodwill only required three hours of move time. I tell you all of this, so you will know why I would not suggest this company to move you for any reason.

RETRACTION: Outstanding Move

Find yourself another moving company!

90% of our household was moved to storage. I was unaware of the damages until we moved it out of storage. You get what you pay for... Yes, I was pleased they moved it in such a short time span... but they did not take any care in handling and storing any of the furniture (I should have expected that I guess).



On our second move, out of storage, I chose a company highly rated with BBB and other consumer sites (Bobadilla's Signature Moving). I paid more, but received top notch professional service. The care, professionalism and detail that was taken with our items puts Fox to shame.



Life lesson learned - I would never recommend FOX Moving to anyone

I called Fox Movers at 8:15 am on a Saturday after we learned our planned movers were not going to be able to finish our move. Milton and Keith arrived at 12:30pm, finished by 2:00pm and did an outstanding job moving our heavy pieces of furniture. Thank you for your quick response and outstanding service. Highly recommend.
