General Info
Early Advantage is program for 3 and 4 year old children and provides a strong preparation for Kindergarten and First grade. The goal of Early Advantage is to provide a stimulating environment to foster a child's innate curiosity and desire to learn. I present an interactive curriculum in science, math, language arts and social studies. Students are offered phonics and will begin reading when they are ready. Montessori and traditional methods of teaching are blended to meet the needs of each individual student.

Curriculum Highlights: Our curriculum includes a fantasy trip to Africa complete with passports, a pretend flight and a safari slide show. Students also learn about the world around them by constructing erupting volcanoes and digging for fossils. Children will also study endangered species while learning to care for all living creatures. Students can learn about history by studying artifacts and they will become the curators of their own display at the Early Advantage Heritage Museum. Opportunities are provided for music and art throughout the year. Budding authors and actors will expand on their favorite fairy tales with drama and puppet shows. Parents are invited to several performances throughout the year. Field trips include a TOT concert, Pumpkin Patch, Dr. Kramer's (pediatric dental office), Frying Pan Park, the Burke Fire Department, and Hidden Oaks. We also spend lots of time outdoors in the woods and on the playground. Exercise both indoor and out are an important part of the day.
