I am super disgusted with this school principal. He seems to pass issues parents have onto other staff and does not like when you show up in person. There is an extremely serious bully issue going on throughout the school. The teachers are so pressured to worry about passing the state wide testing they can't teach core values children need to learn. When you inform the school about a type of situation the student is told to ignore it or get thick skin. If you need your child's psychologist to come to the school to observe your child you can guarantee the principal will refuse for this to happen. The children get little to nothing for school lunch so plan to send them with lunch from home. Most students are very disrespectful to the teachers which makes the teachers job more difficult. Students are in and out of classrooms all day. The teachers have wonderful attitudes, extremely helpful, go out of their way to help your child. I was extremely satisfied with the principal from the 2011-2012 year, this year 2012-2013 I do not feel he is doing his job at all and clueless to most things going on in his school. I have visited the school on a couple occasions and have heard complaints of students, little food and bullying were the most complaints. Students have been arrested in school due to drugs. The super intendant is almost impossible to contact or get her to call you back. I would NOT recommend this school for anyone.
