Dr. Ribera gave me excellent care and follow up. Both the doc and assistants were extremely professional, attentive and efficient, and he kept me well informed of the procedure as he went along. He also called my home the evening of my root canal to see if I was in any discomfort, which really impressed me. I was a bit shocked by the price, which hadn't been clearly disclosed to me beforehand, but I am very happy with the result.

i.e., A local favoriteI strongly recommend Dr. Scott Hetz, DMD as an endodontist. The purpose of my initial visit to Dr. Hetz office was for a root canal. Since then, Dr. Hetz has followed up with me by office visit, email, and phone. He was on time for my appointment and efficiently completely the root canal within one hour and a half. He also informed me that if I were to experience any tooth pain in the future, I should directly call his office regardless of time. This is beyond any standard that I have received from a healthcare provider. Both personally and professionally, Dr. Hetz was very friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and formidable. He walked me through each step of the process and made me feel that I was in his "true care". Although my case was very serious (4 infected nerves), Dr. Hetz made his job seem effortless. Most importantly, due to Dr. Hetz skills and expertise, my root canal was performed successfully and the pain is gone. Again, I strongly recommend Dr. Hetz in the D.C. metro area., or highly recommended because

Dr. Hetz is an excellent endodontist. He is extremely thorough and makes sure that his patients know exactly what is happening during a procedure and how they will feel afterward. The purpose of my visit was for a root canal - it was easy and painless. I was referred to Dr. Hetz after noticing that my front tooth looked gray in pictures. For the past few years I'd been ignoring it because I didn't think anything could fix the color. (I'd had a root canal done 15 years previously due to facial trauma as a child.) Dr. Hetz and his staff were wonderful! The office is clean and quiet, which is always nice to calm the nerves before getting a root canal. Their technology is state of the art, and Dr. Hetz was happy to answer any questions I had during the entire procedure. He explained why my tooth was discolored and recommended trying internal bleaching to brighten it up to match my other teeth. This is a procedure that takes multiple visits, and each time Dr. Hetz and his staff were friendly, on time, and professional. The biggest plus is that my tooth is bright and white now! I know that endodontics is a very specialized field and that the quality of endodontists varies a lot. I highly recommend anyone who needs endodontic therapy to see Dr. Hetz-- he is the best of the best!

I have been since I was a child but still haven't seemed to grow out of it at almost 30. My general dentist informed me that I needed to have a root canal done and recommended their traveling Endodontist. After one meeting with this guy I knew he would not be handling my root canal and so I went on the search to find someone I could trust. A good friend of mine recommended Advanced Endodontic Associates and in particular, Dr. Hetz. I met with him early one morning and I can't tell you enough how great the experience was. I came in for a second opinion on my root canal where Dr. Hetz determined I did indeed need one. I was beyond nervous, to the point of tears, but Dr. Hetz took the time to explain every single part of the root canal to me in detail. Not only did his explanation of the procedure calm me, his relaxed demeanor, professional knowledge and helpful staff made the process extremely easy. He explained every thing he did as he completed my root canal, which was a bit complicated so took about 1-1.5 hours. The follow-up from him and the team at Advanced Endodontic Associates was superb. They went above and beyond for me and I could not be more impressed. I can't say enough how great this experience was. I just wish they did general dentistry too!

I recently visited Dr Hetz to get my first root-canal done on a difficult upper left molar: Dr Hetz was excellent and I strongly recommend that you see him if you need a root-canal done. Dr Hetz was friendly, professional, and most importantly he is really good at what he does - the procedure was painless, the recovery period short, and I have not had any subsequent issues with the tooth. I don't think anyone out there can claim that having a root-canal is a pleasurable experience...but I can say in all honesty that my experience with Dr Hetz was about as close to a pleasurable experience one can have in a dental office. Dr Hetz's office is very modern and the waiting area is welcoming and comfortable. Almost as soon as I had checked in with the front desk Dr Hetz came out to get me and took me to his room. Being an engineer one of the first things I noticed about the room was the microscope hovering above the dental chair. As I was soon to discover, Dr Hetz does the entire root-canal looking through a microscope, a real commitment to new technology! I haven't heard of anyone else having a root canal done this way - but it goes to show the level of effort and the attention to detail that Dr Hetz puts to ensure that the procedure is successful! Bottom line - Dr Hetz was great, my tooth feels normal, and all my anxiety about getting a root-canal done is well and truly gone.
