Being fairly new to the area, passing by and seeing the European Wax Center located in Kearny Mesa, CA. I decided to give it a try, I was a little scared due to it being my first wax since finding out I was pregnant, I was told the sensitivity increases. Long story short, the wax was great I loved every thing about it. Sad to say, I CANNOT say the same for my second experience at EWC located East H street, Chula Vista, CA. It started off well with Tiffany (I believe that was her name) near the end of the wax when it came to my most sensitive area (which I expressed to her throughout the wax). Tiffany ripped my lips, yes you read correctly, slit between my lips and outer labia. I immediately felt the burning pain and expressed to her, she brushed it off. I placed my finger down to check the area of pain and my finger came back with a lot of blood. I went into shock not knowing what to do, Tiffany also started freaking out, but for some reason tried to finish the wax as I laid on the couch trembling. At the end, she tells me to put aquaphor because she puts it on her tattoos to heal and say she will only give me half off because we were unable to finish. Extremely upset at the fact that she still made me pay for the pain SHE caused but I was in so much pain and shock that I just wanted to get out of there. I went home in tears, my family was scared and concerns for my unborn child because it looked like I had a menstral cycle. It took me so long to write this review because since then it has been a very uncomfortable healing process. Finally this week, the pain and healing has ended. I believe I got this wax on the 2nd of April, 2015. I'm not writing to get anyone fired Just to vent about the worst wax experience I've even had in the last ten years of getting waxed all around the country.

If I could give half a star---that's what I would give. I've seen this place go down hill this last year. I can never get in to see the 1 person I can trust to do the job correctly. Ever since they hired this young girl at the front--I'm not able to get appointments, I don't get my courtesy calls, and if I actually get her to answer the phone on the weekends she doesn't want to book any appointments, she has told me the last several weekends I called that they were "booked"--and here I am looking at the website with multiple openings. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME during the weekend with this place... It's not worth the hassle or your money since they hired her in the front!!

This is the 5th time I've called that place for a appointment and gotten snubbed... They never have any openings---even if their website says they do... And unfortunately I can only see one person there, since my alternate left, and they like to hire people who do their own thing and not what the customer wants. I can only deal with 2 ladies at the front desk, they have both been there forever and one is the manager... The others are snooty and lazy. It's very unfortunate that I'm going to have to find another place after this.

Awesome customer service, great prices, great service! Beautiful clean facility. The front desk girls were very helpful in answering my questions I was very nervous since it was my first Brazilian ever! My esthetician was very knowledgeable and nice and made me feel at ease she explained everything to me and was very patient. I got an amazing wax and it wasn't quite as painful as I thought. The room was very clean and they don't double dip and they use this really cool wax from France! I will definitely be back,
