I've been going to Mary Kay for about 6 months now and feel so lucky to have found someone who I know can perform electrolysis properly. Prior to seeing Mary Kay, I bounced around with a few others within the local area for about 2-3 months that claim to be very experienced in electrolysis, only to have prolonged redness & inflammation that would last days after treatment, as well as darkening, and in some cases, even thicker hair growing in the treated area (upper lip). I also felt as if the others were simply pluking the hairs out, or in some cases, leaving the treated hair behind which would cause pimpling. At first, I wasn't sure if this was to be expected, since I've never been treated before and have very sensitive skin. First off, with Mary's treatment, I don't feel like my hair is being ripped out. I only have slight redness for about an hour after treatment before the treated area is back to normal. Mary Kay's treatments are fantastic. I have had other electrolysis treatments that just didn't seem as effective. One person I went to seemed to be ripping out multiple hairs at once to "clear" an area faster, but it didn't feel like each hair was getting killed before they were tweezed out. Mary Kay takes care to be certain the hair is zapped before she pulls it out. I have had lasting, effective results that I love! Mary Kay is fantastic. I drive from Rochester to Buffalo to go to her office, and it's worth it. Clean, comfortable, and it works permanently!

I started going to Mary Kay about 8 weeks ago. Prior to my treatments I had very thick black hair in thick patches on my neck and chin. I had been living with this for the last 9 years as a result to hormonal changes. I had been plucking do years which results in ingrown hair, scars, and constant maintenance.
