Located in Columbus, Ga., Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy provides classes to students in grades kindergarten through five. It is an official Core Knowledge School and serves more than 500 students of the Muscogee County in Georgia. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, social studies and science. It offers world languages, arts and physical education classes. It provides computers in every classroom and enrich reading, writing, arithmetic and other basic skills through online research, e-mail communication and virtual field trips. The school s facility comprises a library and media center, cafeteria and fitness center. It operates various organizations, including a student council and parent-teacher association. Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy is a part of the Muscogee County School District.
