Great food..fair prices...nice atmosphere! Highly recommended

Worst food I ever had..so far. Have eaten here three times now. First two times were ok. Took the wife for a drive and stopped for lunch. Gag me. Scallops were rubber, shrimp parsley was the only flavor. Sitting in an oil and water liquid. NO flavor at all. Wife ordered fish tacos, got talapia on a plate that was rubber. Everything was overcooked. Never again. Service slow as well. You guys need to sit down and figure this out or retire.

I had the best coconut shrimp with margharita dip there recently.. loved it !! Great staff too very friendly.. clean place.. will be back for sure !!

The food was really good and service was ok. I gave it 4 stars because the waitress brought our food and then forgot about us.

We visited on December 19, 2013 and had Crab Cakes, Salad and Fries. The food was awesome! The service was some of the best we have ever had. I don't remember the name of the server, but it was server 26...off of the receipt.My wife and I have eaten here several times in the past, in 2008. We currently live in Covington, Louisiana and made the trip to eat here specifically! We are very glad we made the trip. We visited on Sept. 20th, 2013 and had a GREAT seafood meal - I had fresh broiled scallops and my wife had broiled Grouper. Both were prepared as we requested and were fantastic. The waitress did a wonderful job attending to us and the food arrived quickly. However... We ordered a bottle of wine from the list furnished by the waitress. I expected that, since it was given to us, all the wines on the list were stocked. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, only to be told a few minutes later that it was not available...OK - we'll go with the flow - we chose a Merlot instead (both of us prefer reds, even with seafood...go figure!). Five minutes pass and the waitress returns carrying an opened bottle (not sealed for our inspection first) and two glasses in an "I-have-no-idea-what-kind-of-wine you would drink from these" style - they looked like something from which you would eat sherbet. To make matters worse - THE MERLOT WAS CHILLED! Yes, chilled. Except for perhaps MD 20-20, Thunderbird, or Boone's Apple Farm, NO red wine should be chilled. (No, I don't drink any of these 'aged-in-the-plastic-tube' wines....)To exacerbate the situation she very nicely asked us "would you like some ice for the wine?""No...this is fine" was our reply.I guess the lesson is this: IF you want good seafood - go to Charlie's. IF you want red wine served properly with your dinner, go somewhere else.

Figured we would give them a try...what were we thinking?? On a positive note the grouper was good....the scallops were good.....the shrimp were small.....the crabcake was mushy....and the service is better at Cracker's, just saying!

My husband took me out for our anniversary and he picked this place. Food was right delicious , presentation was purfect. Desert is to die for . Ohh !
I can't wait to go back. I'm waiting for any occasion to come. I've never had such an amazing time as that night. Thank you

came to Florida to visit with my dad.His wife passed away and we wnted to take him out for a nice meal. We were seated and got our iced tea. Three parties of 12,6,and 4 came in after us. we ordered appetizers and got them. meanwhile waiting on our dinner the three partied that came in after us got served BEFORE us?Finally after 45 minutes AFTER our appetizers our food comes out. Cold seafood. My father had human hair in his mayonaise. the assistant blamed it all on our appetizers taking so long??? I actually was sick in the ladies room before we even left. I do not recommend this "restaurant" to any one. I will take my dad out somewhere else ,he really wanted to go to charlis fish hose and was so disappointed, as were my husband and myself.

Very average Seafood! Don't know what all the hype is about this place. Don't make a special trip!

Been there several times and the food would be OK if they new how to cook it. Food overcooked, scallops cooked till tough and small attachment mussel not removed from scallops. Some things OK but overpriced for mediocre food.

Well our boat must have had its own cannery, cause thats where our came from. And the price, wow, very high. Saving grace , keep the waitress, the only great thing there.

We had lunch at Charlie's yesterday. Ordered shrimp salad sandwiches - the shrimp were the baby shrimp from a can - at a Fish House!!!!. The pineapple garnish on our drinks was from a can. On a positive note, the waitresses are excellent - efficient and friendly. The front desk staff could smile a little more.

Ordered a fried platter for $15.99 and not a bad looking platter, 4 oz. piece of fresh grouper, 23 of some kind of popcorn oyster, 7 scallops, 3 shrimp and a greazy crabcake. I ate one of the scallops and put the other soggy 6 in a bowl to send back, no questions asked by the waitress on why. Here they come back, yep the same 6 I returned are now refried rubber! I returned them again, no questions. Here comes the Mgr. with the last batch and didn't say a word, just gave me a new order of soggy scallops. Needless to say, I ate at Charlie's twice in the same day, my first and last!

I like the fried cat fish and the slaw. The hush puppies are gross! The looking over the bay is nice but otherwise the atmosphere is nil. It could be so much better.

My brother recomended this resturant because we, as Northern NY people, wanted seafood. We where seated next to the huge windows with a waterview, recieved excellent service, and ate crab and shrimp to our hearts content. Would I go there again...you betcha! The price was very reasonable and the food was just what we wanted.

Don't waste your time, unless you are 80 years old and don't want any flavor. It didn't matter what you ordered it all taste the same. There were 6 of us and with the exception of one tough steak, all the seafood taste the same. It's all battered and fried together, yeck! My mother ordered her fish broiled and it was way overcooked and had zero flavor. It's not cheap either especally for the small portions and the mushy brown baked potato. We will never go back.
