Jarvis Communications, Inc is an Oregon corporation based in Coos Bay, OR. Founded by Matt Jarvis in 1991, JCI has owned and operated a commercial AM radio station and a weekly standard newspaper on the Central Oregon Coast prior to launching the "Bay Area Daily News" in the Coos Bay - North Bend community in 2005. It was replaced with the new full-size standard newspaper the "Bay Area Weekly" which is circulated on Wednesdays to more than 50 locations in the Bay Area at major grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and other local businesses. The "South Coast Seniors" tabloid is a new publication which addresses the senior lifestyle on the South Oregon Coast, and is distributed from Reedsport to Brookings. JCI also provides an audio news broadcast on the website for Bay Area listeners who like to hear local news and sports broadcasts. A separate Oregon Coast News & Sports Network feed for radio stations along the Oregon Coast is also provided.
