      The Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, also known as GDCADA, administers information and referral programs. Founded in 1946, it maintains a prevention resource center. The council conducts HIV early intervention and outreach and prevention programs. The Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse offers medical, dental, optical and mental health support solutions. The council provides a range of substance abuse assessment and case management services. It also administers juvenile diversion and school-based prevention programs. The Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse conducts conferences, workshops and seminars. In addition, the council organizes several community events and programs.
