General Info
Dr. Kliemann attended Eastern Michigan University for her undergraduate studies, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology with a minor in Chemistry. She practiced as a medical technologist for eight years before returning to chiropractic college at Life University (formally Life Chiropractic College) in Marietta, GA. After completing school and becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.), Dr. Kliemann (then going by her maiden name, Flateau) partnered up with Dr. Harris Feld at Cobb Place Chiropractic, where she practiced for a year before returning to her home state of Michigan. Back at home, she opened her first private practice, Flateau Family Chiropractic, in Romulus. She practiced here for six years, at which point she took a break from chiropractic in order to be a stay-at-home mom with her two children, Melissa and Bradley. In 2001, she re-opened a practice closer to home in Dearborn, MI, called Kliemann Chiropractic. She practiced here until 2011, when she took time off again for health-related reasons. She opened her third practice, Dearborn Spinal Decompression and Chiropractic, in Feburary 2012. Dr. Kliemann became a believer in chiropractic after being involved in a severe car accident at the age of 18. After suffering from debilitating headaches for months, a family friend recommended that she visit a local chiropractor. The chiropractor was able to cure her headaches and help to improve a knee-injury that had also been caused by the accident. Dr. Kliemann was also involved in a second car accident later in life that left her with a broken neck and in need of neurosurgery. She was able to avoid surgery for 18 years through the use of chiropractic and spinal decompression. Though she ultimately still required neurosurgery, the medical advances over 18 years reduced her chances of paralysis due to the surgery from 75% in 1995 to a mere 5% in 2013. All in all, Dr. Kliemann is a true believer in chiropractic and spin
