They did a really good job moving my furniture.. NO COMPLAINTS.. Very good from start to finish.. Crew was nice and professional..

My husband and I are teachers. We moved to Germany two years ago to teach overseas, and while we sold most of our things, we kept a little bit of stuff that we held dear (family heirlooms and things like that). Upon our return, we decided to move to Oregon, but we needed to get our things from Colorado that wed kept in storage. We called several moving companies, and in the end we chose Empire Moving and Storage. They told us that they were locally owned and trust worthy. On the day of the move, we were notified that the movers would arrive between 9 and 10. They actually showed up at 1:30 (but, yeah I know, thats a common thing). My husband and I were ready for them. Wed purchased 300 cubic feet of space in their truck (The man who booked it told us that they prefer to itemize it and know exactly whats being loaded, but since we hadnt seen it in years we told him we werent sure, and he assured us that as long as it fit in the space, everything would be okay) and wed already and measured out the space in my in-laws garage. We knew everything would fit. We waited, and when they arrived, they loaded half of our things. Then they told us that the rest wouldnt fit, and that since the small pieces of furniture werent all itemized, they couldnt take them without charging us more money. We refused, and were left at a standstill for over an hour while we tried to get ahold of a supervisor, when they did finally reach someone, they accepted that they made a mistake, and they loaded all of our things. One week later the delivery driver attempted to make a delivery at my parent's place in Oregon where well keep our things until we move into our home next month. My parents just moved here as well, and they had not had problems with their movers delivering their goods, driving up the road and into the driveway (they live on a dirt road (see the picture below)). Our drivers arrived and parked at the end of my parents road. They walked to the driveway and told us that they couldnt pull in there. We were surprised, but told them that they could unload at the end of the drive and that we would move everything the rest of the way. Then they went to their truck and told us that that they couldnt make it up the hill to my parents house (mind you: not only did my parents driver made it up, but several semi trucks do it every day). They said we could either meet them at the end of the road (1/4 of a mile away from the driveway), or they would charge us more to get a smaller truck to get it down the road. At this point, I called their office in Colorado and spoke with a supervisor. The first supervisor I spoke with assured me that his team sent pictures, they couldnt make it up the hill, and I had ten minutes to pay them before they left, took my things, and locked it up in Washington where Id have to go pick it up if I wanted it. I called my husband, who was waiting at the end of the road with the drivers, and told him to pay them. He did. They took the money and drove away. in the mean time, I was told that another supervisor would be calling me. He did, and he treated me awfully. At one point he told me that if wed paid more, they could have delivered it all the way. At another point, when I told him that Id call the police to tell them that the movers had taken our money and our things, he told me to go right ahead and call. He said they could legally hold our things for two weeks. He spoke over me, and didnt seem to care about what Id already gone through with their company (I did ask for a partial refund after all of the crazy things that had happened and because we were now going to have to get all of our things from the end of the road). After speaking with him and getting nowhere, I went to meet my husband at the end of the road, and was pleased when the truck returned. The boxes in the truck werent stacked well. We had several broken items, some that were not replaceable like a chair that came from my husbands

Very Happy we ended up choosing these guys. My wife did a search online for moving companies and ended up getting around 50 phone calls from everyone under the sun. The rep from Empire was polite and professional, but also took the longest of anyone to go over the specifics of what we were moving. They weren't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either, and we decided attention to detail was a good sign that they actually intended to honor their quote. To make a long story short, they did. We moved from just outside Denver to the Seattle area,for the record. The crew that loaded the truck did a good job, and they were equally professional when they got our stuff back to us. Nothing was missing (and I have had that problem before when moving), and the only damage was 2 pieces of glass that go on our side tables were broken but everything else was fine, and frankly the glass wasn't even worth filing a claim over. I was charged exactly what I was originally told I would be charged, and if we ever have to move again I will definitely give these guys a call!

There are movers and then there are professional movers. Allow me explain the difference

Movers will move your things in the condition you have it with no indifference to the condition you will receive it when it's moved.

Then there's professional movers who will go the extra step to protect everything you are moving so that when you unpack it, it is were in the conditions your had it.

Empire not only provided professional moving services but the also inventory every item electronically and they will also store it in there storage facility (which I was unaware of until I reached my storage rental.

The 3 men moving service were so kind and so respectful and I can say with confidence that they took extra care of my items because I watched them from start to finish. I highly recommend Gai who was the team lead and ran the operation smoothly.

I would recommend and reuse this service for instate and out of state moves. There services will cost you however it's like paying for a piece of mind when you use Roadway. I have used 2 other services in florida and california and it had been an epic disaster. This time my husbands company transferred him from Denver to Upstate New york without helping with the cost. This was our first experience of having to pay for the move ourselves so I was very worried it would go wrong and we would have to pay dearly. When it went thru without a hitch I was elated. So trust me when I say that Empire is worth every penny.

The foreman and his trusty side kicks arrived at my apartment ready to go. They seamlessly took apart and re-assembled the furniture and delivered it within a good time. Very good service and professional company and team. I'd recommend them for smaller to medium sized moves without a doubt. I was very happy and satisfied with their services and I'd use them again.

Two moves with Empire and if I move a third time, I will very likely choose them.

- The three moving teams were lovely, on time and did a great job. On my first move with Empire, the packing team was so organized that the leader of the team could point out to where every single numbered box was. I was very impressed. On my second move, they helped move furniture in the apartment, and then out of the apartment when we realized that some things will not fit (and they did not have to help us on that). And the last team was so committed that they actually gave recommendations on where to put furniture.

- The sales team answers emails back amazingly fast, which is great as you often know your confirmed moving date at the last minute. And they accommodated my changing moving dates each and every time.

- I had to deal with their customers service once because of a small issue regarding the estimate. The issue was resolved very fast and they apologized profusely for the miscommunication. They were great.

So in summary: two moves and both very good experiences with Empire. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

We were contacted after giving information online and learned more about Empire Moving and Storage Inc and the services they offered. We had two moves on our hands. Our only son was moving out and we were helping him to CA and we planned on a move ourselves to OR. We were not really interested in the idea of the empty nest at our same home and felt we had worked our whole lives deserving something different. They were able to help us with the closing of our home in Bend. My attraction to the company was based on them being up front and honest with me about their processes. I learned a lot of things about the industry and can honestly say for the first time in my 55 years a company came through on all of their promises. No company is perfect but I had family warn me because of bad experiences they have had with some of the largest vendors in the country, so for these guys to show some heart and soul meant a lot to my wife and I and we were sure to let the whole family know. We had a great contact person and it was apparent that everyone we spoke with from dept to dept just had a happy vibe. The pick up men were really informative with us and we decided last minute that they should do the majority of what we planned on doing while they loading. I was given a spread of dates for my things to be in OR. They called me and arrived not many days after. My wife actually never got to meet but has made somewhat of a friendship with one of their ladies in customer service. I heard the two talking yesterday and the company has offered us a $50 food gift card just for this posting however I quickly relayed that it wouldn't be necessary. Empire Moving & Storage Inc handled both moves with professionalism and most importantly made every member of my family feel as though we mattered. I never thought we would get out of KS after almost 32 years but thankfully we did at the right time and were blessed with a great group of people to help us. Thank You All!

I decided to hire Empire after my cousin refferal of them based on his own personal experience . I did do some research and found them to be dependable, fairly priced with years of experience as a professional mover. On the day of the move, they arrived on time and moved everything quickly. They were efficient and friendly. I ended up paying a little less than my original estimate because I decided not to take a few things at the last minute. All in all, I recommend these guys if you're looking for top tier service without having to break the bank.

I would like to personally thank Jason at Empire M&S, What a GREAT experience throughout. From the quoting stages to the final move. Everything was coordinated perfectly. The price did not change, Empire was in constant communication with me and more importantly my items arrived in perfect condition. The crew members were efficient, thorough and extremely professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone moving. My overall experience with this company has been absolutely awful. I used the company to move my daughter from CO to NC and they had good reviews. They told me at the start it would $1600 and would be picked up on July 28th at anywhere from 9-10 AM, and while it was picked up that day they were 4 hours late meeting my daughter. They were extremely rude to my daughter and told us both different things about the prices and the drop off date. They were a lot of added on costs such as her jeep soft top, they said some of our boxes 'wouldn't hold up to the move', that they were not packaged well enough and repackaged them - multiple added costs with that such as picture boxes, moving boxes, and moving blankets. Since I do not have enough room to write my entire experience, I will leave it at this; it costs me $1000 more than what I had been told, they were 10 days late getting my things to me, extremely difficult to get ahold of and get answers out of, and the mover wore flip flops.

Empire Moving and Storage worked sooo hard to accommodate and make this move a stress free move for my family and myself. The price was great and more than I could ask for. They showed up on time when picking up my items. Allen my sales rep gave such an amazing quote which I could not asked for better price. In my next move I will be sure to use you guys the crew as well as the customer service ladies and my sales rep were incredibly nice. Thanks guys for also reassembling my property at delivery. Very fast too!!!

I have moved numerous times with large household name companies and things for the most part always went smooth. This time I chose Empire solely based on the professionalism of my contact person Allen as he assured me I would be pleased with the services. We had some unforeseen changes with our address in Roseburg and had to inform Empire of the change to the house address three times. I can only imagine the headache I caused Empire and its employees but they stormed through and really made a lasting impression. I work a Governing agency and for me attitude is everything. Not once did I get a bad vibe from anyone at this company. There were other small issues that I caused the crew (I was late for my delivery and they waited on me!!!) so for them to be professional throughout really meshed well with me and made Empire stand out vs any of my other previous moves. I will use this company again and I plan on funding my daughters move with Empire in August. Rebate awarded.
