General Info

The Historic Nugget Mountain Bar is located a just a half mile south of the entrance to Purgatory Resort. From the exterior, this old miner's cabin looks like it should be the setting of a Jack London novel. The lawn area is enclosed by old railroad ties, complete with gas firepits and rustic wood chairs. A large deck area blankets the front of the old D-Log cabin, perfect spot for an elevated view of the surrounding peaks. As soon as you open the door, the idyllic miner’s cabin transitions into the perfect apres ski bar. Opening the door, you are greeted with a vintage 70’s chairlift doubling as a two-seat indoor swing. However, the best spot for sipping a warmed specialty cocktail, watching the snow paint the Rockies, and relax after long day exploring. The centerpiece of this old cabin is a rectangular bar-top, constructed of Colorado-used skis, embossed in a glassy epoxy and perfectly situated for conversations with old-time powder-hounds.The Historic Nugget Mountain Bar is located a just a half mile south of the entrance to Purgatory Resort.
