Kurt Gemeinhardt, a fourth generation flute maker from Germany, founded the Gemeinhardt Company more than 50 years ago. Gemeinhardt is one of the world's largest exclusive manufacturers of flutes and piccolos. Every instrument is branded with the Gemeinhardt name. Gemeinhardt Company is located in Elkhart, Ind. The company expanded in September 1997 with the acquisition of Roy Seaman Piccolo Company. Roy Seaman manufactures handcrafted, grenadilla wood piccolos. Gemeinhardt Company manufactures flutes and piccolos for all levels of musicians, ranging from student to professional.
