My brother is going though divorce and retained her. She is TERRIBLE! She told him "come by yourself" for the meeting. He had brought support with him the first few meetings. WHY did she want him to come alone? My brother is a nice guy and she tried to strong arm him into "what a great deal" his soon to be ex-wife attorney was offering to "take his dogs" (he owned before the marriage) so he wouldn't have to worry about their upkeep or care and of course all his BAH/BAQ and the car the house, well everything! He even said he was speechless walking out as it was a totally DIFFERENT attorney than he thought he met BEFORE he paid the retainer! Run don't WALK away from this lady! She does NOT return calls! She is NOT looking out for YOU - only herself and how not to actually go to court and represent you but to make deals that are NOT in your best interest! SHE IS TERRIBLE - find someone else!

I paid $100 for a consultation with this attorney. I had a similar hearing prior regarding the same circumstances that I needed to retain another attorney for. She was unable to give me a complete consultation and said she needed to familiarize herself with my prior case before she could give me an accurate consultation. About 4 days later I received a phone call from not Ms.Hurmence herself, but her secretary. All the secretary did was tell me information I already knew about my own hearing and she was absolutely of no help to me whatsoever. I did not need to familiarize myself with information about my own upcoming hearing, Ms.Hurmence did. I never got a complete consultation and I never spoke with Ms.Hurmence again after the intial 5-10 conversation we had. I did not pay $100 to speak with her secretary and I certainly did not pay $100 to hear information I already knew. When I told her secretary I was not satisfied and that she was not giving me the kind of consultation I had expected, she was very short with me. This was not my first consultation with an attorney and I know how they are supposed to go. I feel I was robbed of $100 and would not recommend this attorney to anyone.
