These people will scam you out of your security deposit. .They try to push a responsibility that should and is THEIR responsibility to make sure their rental units have been properly protected from pests such as cockroaches. . I have been renting on and off for over 40 years in a number of different cities, and I have NEVER ran into a problem like this. . I move into what I thought was one of the nicer places only to have terrible appliances that constantly broke down, never worked properly, had a maintenance man that none of the neighbors liked, including a former room mate that they went round and round with. . They charged me $200 out of my security deposit because they found a couple cockroaches of which I complained about from a backed up dishwasher that required new parts of which never got replaced till AFTER i moved out. . Washer and dryer constantly had problems, stove handle fell off, bathroom mirror fell off brackets, siding come undone during a storm, etc. . Always something.. I NEVER had issues anywhere else I have ever lived prior to or ever since moving out. . I left the woodwork in BETTER shape than it was originally before I moved in. . Also, the friends I have that helped me to do a final cleanup as I moved out does home repair and we shined up the wooden baseboards, and left the place clean except we forgot to clean out the stove.. I have since moved into a rental unit in an area with many Tazian Properties (duplexes), and am being treated very well, have no maintenance issues so far after 9 months, and my landlord is a wonderful person, and I saved myself over $130/mo rent, and about $100 in security deposit. . After talking to several neighbors, they have had many of the same issues when living and moving out of their properties. .. I tried to be nice to them, but they remained stoic, cold, indifferent, and was late getting my notice of damages and/or security deposit back. . Also, my friends that are also knowledgeable about building codes have pointed out faulty plumbing, electrical wiring/fixtures, and furnace and water heater placements. . All I asked for when I moved out was to get my security deposit back and they charged me for something that should have been done regardless of whether there were cockroaches or other pests. . It was a constant battle I addressed before, and Tazian said it was MY fault it wasn't reported before my move out. . That is a lie. . I told them about this every time I tried to get that damned dishwasher fixed. . I also noticed that other complaints have been deleted off other reviews written on other sites. .

No new carpet, new paint or new wallpaper for the 18 years I've lived there. They have no problem raising the rent though. Maintenance is very slow to respond to problems. I have a hole in my kitchen ceiling from a water leak over ten years ago and maintenance has yet to fix it. I definitely will never rent from them again!
