As a deaf client, I have been going to the Passion Nails/Spa Salon since I first moved in Germantown , Maryland to live with my family seven years ago. I am fully satisfied with the staff members, especially the one that happens to be Andy and his fine skills of doing the work on my nails beautifully! Consequently, a number of my friends provided me with such pleasant comments on my fingernails! Congratulations with friendly love to Andy!

As with the other reviewers, the biggest problem is the constant chit-chat between the workers at the salon. (NOT a spa!) The workers are constantly on their cell phones. Constantly! Not very professional. Does the owner ever read these reviews? If so, I would expect more professionalism from my workers.

I've gone here several times over the past few years. For pedicures, I have never left this place with smooth feet. My toenails look nice but they can never get rid of rough skin (and won't even attempt to unless I specially ask them to.) Another time, I had an appointment to get a manicure with my grandmother. They wouldn't seat us next to each other even though it was empty. That made me kind of sad. And I've gotten 'gels' there. They don't do real gels. They do an acrylic with a gel top coat. Kind of a rip off. But they are very clean. I mean super clean.

This place is cleaner than the other nail spas in the area, and when I went I got great service. However, the people always speaking vietnamese bothered me sometimes. Whenever I go I only go to Kelly though she's about the only one that I let do my nails cause she doesn't rush and has good service.

This is absolutely the best. You get your monies worth fir the services and the products they use. I have been a customer for over a year. Very clean and sanitized for each customer.

Passion Nail Spa is starting to become typical, as far as Vietnamese nail places go. I would not cal lthis a "spa" really. It is just a typcial nail place, nothing more, nothing less. It used to be friendly and extremely well maintained; however, things are getting run down and the emploees attitudes are ruder. Unike before, you now get lots of back and forth chatter in Vietnamese then a sudden burst of laughter and you wonder who they are talking about? The owner always seems to have a chip on her shoulder and the employees seem to adopt her attitude and emulate her behavior. If you want a typical Vietnamese nail experience this is the place for you. I have to say my nails always look great when I leave there! The prices are bit too high in that I would not call it truly a "nail spa," but it is hard to find a place that is clean and does a good job. I will keep going until I find a REAL nail spa.

I keep going to this place because the manicures and pedicures are decent plus they seem to disinfect things well. However, the manager (owner?) is extremely rude and is in what seems to be a constant bad mood. It has been this way ever since I've been a customer (for a few years). I even heard other customers comment, and ask what's up with her. In these hard economic times when most everybody is cutting down on luxury items and services, they better be careful not to lose customers due to bad treatment, especially because there are plenty of nail places like this.

I had a gift certificate that I forgot about, yet it hadn't expired. I needed to get an extension or a new gift certificate before it expired (even though in maryland it can't expire before 4 years) and they refused. The owner never returned my many phone calls and was treated very poorly. I was told if I was unhappy to file with the BBB because they were going to do nother for me. They have my money and I have a useless piece of paper. I am unhappy at the treatment I recieved all because I wanted to get a new gift certificate. I am unclear as to why if they have my money can I not use the gift certificate.

I'm not an expert on manicures & pedicures (I destroy manicures almost immediately - so I don't get often) but I find that Passion Nails is one of the nicer places in terms of atmosphere and the massage chairs seem to always work, other places I've been I get the chair that is broken. I enjoy some of the extra service (hot towels etc) which are included in the price. I had a deluxe pedicure at the Red Door, nearly double the price for pretty much the same service, polish lasted only a week. Another reviewer mentioned the staff speaking in their native language, I do not find this offensive and often find the same thing at other salons/business. Why wouldn't they want to speak in a language they find more comfortable to speak? I also feel their product line is a little nicer than some in other salons. It's a very convenient location for me which is a bonus - all things considered I would recommend to others

I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the cold/rude treatment the owner gives customers, and the fact that I always feel the Vietnamese-speakers seem to be discussing the customers . . . As a non-native myself, I am always careful not to speak in my native language all the time when I meet others who do. The workers at this nail place appear interested in doing the opposite.Other than that, most seem to do a very good job with manicures and pedicures.

One of the better nail places in the area. Depending on which person you get you will have beautiful nails and they also have an array of other services. I get my nails, pedicures and waxing done here. I like the products that they use, the utensils are clean and the atmosphere is nice. The only thing is that they are a little bit expensive and they don't have discounts unless you join the "club" which only gives you a $1-2 off of their services...

Notably good service experience

If you call ahead, you are guaranteed service. THere is a possibility you may have to wait a bit to get seen once there, but overall, it is relaxing and the results are amazing.
