Impessive Hospital

I was a patient at St Anthony Hospital from Oct 17, 2012 to Oct 21, 2012 and had surgery for a total knee replacement. I would recommend this hospital as they are very proactive about getting you up up and going. Not a pleasant procedure but they really worked with me as I was having issues with many pain medications. I would recommend this hospital.

great place and wonderful staff

3 south was such a wonderful floor when I was here recently, they were timely and very efficient in everything they did. They were always able to answer my questions and help me with any misunderstanding! I recommend this hospital above all others, not worth going to St. Joes or Harrison. Kudos to St. Anthony!

young mother treated horrible

I would never ever go to this hospital again. I would not bring my worst enemy here. They treat you like a drug seeker and I was admitted for weeks with pneumonia and an enlarged heart. The care I recieved was poor the Nurses aides were rude and god forbid you asked for some water. The room may be nice but that isnt what is important! the care should be superb and its not..Its a brand new hospital and you would think each employess would have been hand picked with care. Your not going to a hospital where you have nurses that have been there for 20 years we are talking 2 years. This was the worst experience I have ever had. There was one nurse the whole time that cared that treated me like a human instead of a condition or a bother. I actually received quite a bit of an attitude when a nurse saw that it was 2 am and I wasnt sleeping. Im not a child. I would never ever ever suggest anyone come to this hospital it is worth crossing the bridge to Tacoma to receive decent care.

Great Service from the ER

We brought my gramma here. She was not feeling well at all. We did not have to wait to be brought to the ER. They ran a bunch of tests and found out she had pneumonia. She was admitted for two days in a beautiful private room up on the third floor. The staff was very nice. This is the best hospital that we have ever seen.

Horrible staffing/nurse care at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor

We are shocked by the poor care our 65 year old Mother, a 25 year veteran flight attendant of Alaska Airlines, received at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor. Her ER experience was fairly pleasant and speedy, and she was diagnosed with an obstructed bowel. Her nurse Zoey was kind and we feel like she was in good care with her. From that point on however, things went downhill. She was transferred to the third floor south and as the days went by, her patient calls were repeatedly ignored. When water and jello were approved by the doctor, they still did not deliver, and when finally they did arrive after several repeated rings to the nurses station, the water came without a cup, the jello without a spoon. At one point she needed to use the restroom, fortunately for a bowel movement which is one indication the obstruction is resolving itself, and a great sign. But of course she is hooked up to IV's and other tubes from which she cannot disconnect herself. She called so many tim
