      Our Mission: Adirondack Baptist Church seeks to glorify God in all we do. Therefore, we endeavor to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ, faithfully proclaim God's word, and be obedient to the clear commands of scripture as our sole authority of faith and practice. Our History: In 1997, several families begin praying for the Lord's will and direction concerning their church allegiance. They met on Thursday evenings for prayer and fellowship. God led a pastor to come and lead them in Bible Study and prayer. After a time, they came to believe that God intended them to step out in faith to start what is now called Adirondack Baptist Church. In 1998 a new independent Baptist church was officially established in Fulton County. Initially meeting in homes, the young church soon rented facilities at Sacandaga Bible Conference, then moved to the former Methodist church building in downtown Gloversville, After prayerful consideration, the church purchased the land at its present location, and constructed its first building. Adirondack Baptist Church moved into its new building in April 2001, and called their first pastor, Pastor Brian Norman, in June of that year. Meet our Staff The Bible: We believe that the Bible is God's word to all men, and the final authority in all matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice. Because it is God-breathed, it is truth without any mixture of error. God: We believe there is only one living and true God who is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Humanity: We believe that human beings were created by God in His image, but we have alienated ourselves from Him by an attitude of disobedience called sin and are in need of reconciliation.
