My sister in law just adopted two dogs from a local shelter here in Grand Junction Colorado. She took the dogs to Creature Comforts Animal Hospital and got a series of estimates on procedures that the dogs needed to have done. Which well exceeded $400 for both animals. They also suggested that she buy fish oils, do 2 heart worm tests, that had already been done at the shelter etc. She went to Redstone Veterinary Hospital and showed them the estimates from Creature Comforts and was told that she didn't need to do ANY of what they told her to do. It sounds like Creature Comfort is just out to swindle anyone out of their hard earned money. I understand that they need money to stay open, but making people pay for procedures and medicine that isn't needed is a horrible way to conduct business. I felt that maybe if enough people stand up for what's right this place of business will reconfigure their policies and ethics.

Dr. Aimee Johnson totally impressed me when I first brought my new kitty to her. She gave the most thorough exam I had ever seen! Since then she has provided excellent care and suggestions to me. She is able to communicate with me in a way that makes me comfortable asking questions, and I walk away feeling confident that I understand everything she shared. Since she is a proactive vet, I believe she will always provide me with options and ideas on how to prevent or minimize illnesses in my cat instead of waiting until the problems really set in. I can't imagine taking my pet to anyone else!
