Attorney Sappenfield graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in English Literary Studies. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Sappenfield worked with Pinnacle Law Firm (formerly Smith Horton Law) as a law clerk assisting in capital defense cases and at Womble Bond Dickinson on their eDiscovery team. Attorney Sappenfield is the membership chair of the North Carolina Associates for Justice (NCAJ) Disability Advocacy Section. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) and is a board member of the Next Generation Committee.
