Provided by YP.comAn interesting choice! In the mood for elk, buffalo, ostrich or gator? Then this is your place. Don't judge it by the the crummy little strip mall exterior- inside a rustic lodge awaits you and your friends. Truly a taste like none other in the area, you're sure to find something you've never tried before on the menu. A special treat during the winter is when the wood burning stove is roaring in the middle of the lobby. I won't bring my kids if you don't bring yours. You get what you pay for, so expect to spend more than a casual night out.

Don't let the theme fool you. There is more to this restaurant than the most apprehensive person would think. First, the staff are impeccable. You are immediately greeted at the door with the hostess, who tries to greet you by name (if you are a recurring customer). You are escorted to your table, where the servers/wait staff are at your becking call. The menu of the day is provided to you by the staff, who does not read it to you. The menu is wide and variant. You have a choice of the mildest to the wildest game. Personally, I have eaten elk, kangaroo, and buffalo. Had it not been for the impressive staff, I do not think I would have eaten this type of meat before. My date has eaten ostrich and he absolutely loved it! Mr. & Mrs. Woo are to be commended for running such a top-notch establishment. This is one of my favorite restaurants. As an FYI: they also have chicken tenderloins for a child's menu.
Just the BEST... whether it's wild game you want or just a steak.

Provided by YP.comTook my boyfriend for dinner there once for his birthday. We were seated at the worst table in the room......a tiny table right in the middle of the restaurant next to a large wooden post. Since I had made the reservations, the server kept calling my boyfriend by my last name......embarrassing! We ordered an appetizer at the waiter's suggestion.......was very disappointing........four skewers of chicken strips, four shrimp, and four tiny pieces of alligator.......$15. We both ordered steaks because they were sold out of the popular game meats.........the steaks were overcooked. Over-rated and overpriced is how I would describe Saskatoon. Greenville has many fine restaurants.....this is NOT one of them.

Provided by YP.comMade a dinner reservation for 2 people as it was my husband's birthday. Food and service were great. We had dinner and a bottle of wine. We asked the waiter for our check and when he brought it he had added a 18% tip and told us verbally this was how much tip we had to pay. Nothing was posted nor were we told this prior to our ordering that we had to leave an 18% tip for 2 persons. We have eaten in many fine restaurants in Greenville, but have never been told the amount of tip we were to leave. This situation ruined our birthday dinner and we told the owner this was not fair to add the gratuity of 18% without patron's prior knowledge and all the owner said was "sorry". Alto food was very good will never go there again. If they choose to add 18% for two people or however many people, put it on the menu and advise patron before they order that they are required to give this size of a tip. It was not so much the size of the tip, but we were told this is what we WERE to leave. We were extremely upset over this.
