General Info

Our firm was founded by Partner, Christine C. Mastin in 2003 as Mastin Law Firm, P.C. After building a successful immigration law practice with a major Denver law firm, Ms. Mastin left to establish her own law firm and achieve a stronger work-family balance. Through the transition, she cultivated the ability to provide her clients with greater flexibility and focus with regard to her services. Charles L. Mastin II, joined his wife in 2006 after serving as a Shareholder at another reputable Denver law firm. With his addition, the firm expanded its services to include the representation of businesses and individuals in various business transactions, including Mr. Mastin’s extensive representation of dentists in the formation, acquisition, sales, and dissolution of dental practice groups, and his representation of businesses and individuals in tax matters and tax filing preparation. The firm solidified its tax practice when Denise D. Hoffman joined the firm in June 2010. Prior to joining the Mastins, Ms. Hoffman spent her first nine years of practice at the major Denver law firm where Ms. Mastin began her legal career. Ms. Hoffman’s experience with tax-exempt organizations and wealth and business succession planning allowed the firm to greatly expand the transactional services available to its clients.Originally consisting of solely transactional attorneys, the firm significantly diversified its services by adding litigation to its portfolio in January 2011 with the addition of S. Kato Crews. Mr. Crews joined the firm in January 2011 after serving as a litigation Partner at the same Denver law firm.With the addition of both Ms. Hoffman and Mr. Crews, Mastin Law Firm became Mastin Hoffman & Crews in January 2011. Also in 2011, MHC was proud to add Nicole R. Nies creating our real estate department. Finally, in 2012 real estate attorney Jeffrey R. Bergstrom joined the firm as Of Counsel. Our team’s range of experience and diversity places the firm in a unique position when it comes to client service. Our attorneys distinctly emulate the diverse demographics of the greater community, which only enhances our ability to credibly bring a broader-range of perspective to bear on any given client matter.
