Our lodge is a premier, full-service destination lodge in Halibut Cove also renowned for Diana Tillion's Cove Gallery, the Halibut Cove Experience Gallery, and the Saltry Restaurant. Halibut Cove is adjacent to the Kachemak Bay State Park, Kachemak Bay Wilderness Park, and the Kenai National Fijords. This is Alaska as you imagine it an experience rich in both flora and fauna, a unique and remarkable natural heritage, and an exceptional journey from start to finish. The Ridgewood is arguably an architectural gem amongst wilderness lodges in Alaska, and it is our desire that our guests enjoy the physical features of our unique Alaska accommodations and grounds. Kevin & Lucinda have been involved in the visitor industry since 1975, getting a well-grounded start by building and managing for many years, the very first brown bear photography camp adjacent to McNeil River. We understand that experiencing Alaskas great outdoors and many wonders is a primary goal for those active in mind and spirit, so we have designed our activity program with numerous guided and highly personalized adventures to choose from, including bear viewing, hiking, glacier kayaking, bird viewing, wildlife tours where guests can see whales, sea otters, porpoises, seals, sea birds and more, beachcombing, heli-hiking, flight-seeing, or salmon & halibut fishing.
