General Info: Founded in 1995, Northern Geomantics specializes in custom geographic information system Internet and desktop application development with an emphasis on tools for integrating spatial data, map display and spatial queries into enterprise-wide systems. NGI has been one of the leaders in Web-enabled application development since the earliest days of Internet mapping, and also provides a complete range of GIS consulting services, including user needs assessments, system design and implementation and spatial analysis and mapping. The company s primary focus is Internet mapping development using ArcIMS technology and ArcWeb services. These services run the gamut from simple display of a client's geographic data on a public Internet site to secure interactive editing on the Web. It has been involved in ArcIMS and ArcWeb services beta-testing programs at Environmental Systems Research Institute and has developed many tools to make setting up an Internet mapping site quick and easy. Northern Geomantics is headquartered in Hallowell, Maine.
