      Dr. MacGregor is the best!

      I went to Dr. MacGregor for a second opinion for a headache that would not go away after a car accident. I had this horrible headache for almost a year and nothing helped. I had a MRI about 6 months prior to my first appt. Dr. MacGregor took the time to look at the images instead of just reading the report and saw I had a herniated cervical disc that needed to be replaced. I had the surgery almost a year ago and the headache slowly went away. I no longer have headaches and can live like normal n

      The best of the best!!!!

      Outstanding Doctor! She takes all the necessary time to let you know what is going on with your health status. She totally put me at ease and my surgery went exactly as she described. I was home the same day as my back surgery and followed up with her a week later. I feel great and have no remaining back pain!

      Dr. Margaret MacGregor is a native of Morris County, New Jersey. She attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she graduated with honors. She was the recipient of a Fulbright Grant in Physical Chemistry, and studied at the Universität Hamburg, in Germany. She attended UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School (now Rutgers), and completed her neurosurgical training at Loyola University, in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. MacGregor comes to the Nashville area after seventeen and one half years of serving the Springfield, Illinois area. There she worked both in the private sector and as faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where she was Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurosurgery, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology. She is a board certified in Neurosurgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. When not practicing neurosurgery, Dr. MacGregor likes to spend time with her family, horses, and dogs. Her son, at age twelve, is already an accomplished rider. She is an internationally known breeder of award winning Trakehner horses, with successes both in the U.S. and abroad.
