My husband went to this addiction treatment center at the cost of $40K. It was a complete waste. The last week of his stay he essentially told me that he would rather keep his ties with his drug dealer then his marriage. The whole time he was there he could communicate with this person as they didn't confiscate phones or monitor communications. He went right back to using and back to all his old habits. The resort is beautiful however. If you have 40K to throw away for a luxury vacation, this place is for you, or your significant other. They will fill your head with mumbo jumbo, give you massages and mini vacation outings and "not shame you" and then brag about how they are so much better than traditional 12 step programs because of their enlightened viewpoints. Because it would be a bad thing for you to think that "what you did was wrong", it would be very terribly damaging to your self-esteem. So yes, if you are looking for alternatives to "actually getting clean" and would like a really expensive vacation that you can get insurance to foot the bill for 70%, then this place is for you.
