Absolutely amazing. They are well versed in ALL training techniques. I have seen them train dogs who were told they were “lost causes” and “needed to be put down” and turn them around 100%. These dogs are now capable of being out in public, around other animals, and other humans.
I have never seen a trainer capable of saving hundreds of dogs from being put down.
He trains pets to a competition level of obedience.
His service dogs are the best service dogs I have EVER seen. I have seen many around the world.
He is inexpensive, well educated, and extremely professional.
Over all this was the best investment I have ever made.
Not only is this an amazing organization but they also give back to the community. He has donated over 50 service dogs to those in need. (About $750,000 worth of training and dogs completely free to the ones in need)
They also work with the Lions Club (Casper is the president at the moment), Militarily Order of the Lancers (the post commander) and his wife is the disability coordinator, hosts veterans appreciation day for the county, helps coordinate operates deployed Santa, hosted dog day in the park competitions for the last 5 years, is an active advocate for veterans, disabilities, and service animal education to the public. Etc.
Over all I would say this this organization and its members go above and beyond for not only their clients but the community.
I have two celebrity cats, both have been in multiple commercials. You may recognize them. The Unleashed training crew did an excellent job training both Bandit and Spike and teaching me the skills to maintain their training. The intelligence both animals now demonstrate has been amazing. The help I received from Unleashed has been very rewarding.
When I first talked to Megan at Unleashed Dog Training, she assured me that they would be able to help me with my fear reactive Great Dane. Of course I was skeptical because I had taken him to trainers before and had even seen a Licensed Vet Behaviorist whom had put him on medication and told me that he would be a dog that would never be able to be around other people because of his reactivity.
During the initial in home consultation, I was open to different training methods than I had tried in the past and decided that I would continue forward with training.
Let me tell you, Casper helped my Dane and I to work in unison and as of our last training, we were able to not only walk through Lowe's, but when we did, not a peep was made by my dog.
I can now take my Dane on walks, have people in my home, and go through a drive through without him trying to lunge and freak out at every human, dog, or unknown "thing" that he saw.
I am so thankful for Casper, Megan, and all of their help with training of my Giant Baby!
Why did I choose Unleashed Dog Training?
I chose them because I wanted professionalism, excellence, and to have a higher standard for service dogs.
Not only are they professional, they have become a part of my family. Their dogs are not mediocre, trained in 10 weeks, with questionable training. These people have set the bar high with their training standards and what they expect out of service dog.
I am confident walking through stores with my dog knowing that she is going to be one of the best behaved I have seen out in public. And trust me I’ve seen some very questionable “service dogs.”
I’m not saying this to be cocky. I’m saying this to let anybody in search of a service dog know that there is a program out there that you don’t have to settle for an OK dog. You don’t have to walk around worrying that somebody is going to question your dog.
I mean how many dogs do you know that can detect a seizure up to 45 minutes to an hour before seizure actually happens?
How many dogs do you know tract somebody through a whole entire busy Walmart store to alerts their owner that there is a seizure coming?
How many dogs you know they can pick up a dime or a credit card in less than three seconds to give it back to you if you drop it?
How many companies in your area do you know that specifically train anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar off of chemicals and not visual cues? Which in turn can possibly prevent a panic attack or lessens panic attack instead of keeping you calm during one?
Not many.
So thank your to Casper Vande Hei, Megan Vande Hei, and Jonathan-Carrie Wrigley. Not only for the awesome training, but helping me find a family that understands my problems.
I was at my work one day when Casper came in with his service dog Zeus. I decided to ask about his service dog and we got into a big conversation about it and my issues. He kept encouraging me to come and see him and I didn't until I was hospitalized for my anxiety and my PTSD. Once I got out of the hospital the first person I talked to was Casper at unleashed dog training. He told me a date and a time to show up. When I showed up. I have been working with unleashed dog training and Casper since November of last year. It has been wonderful and I've learned so much. Casper is professional dedicated and caring. He is there to answer questions and explain everything thoroughly. I work a crazy schedule. He has been understanding. I just recently passed basic obedience with the dog I am planning to buy from unleashed dog training. Dog training has not only given me hope I have gained a family. I highly recommend unleashed dog training to everyone who wants anything from basic obedience to a service dog!!!!!!! To have hope again is amazing and to have people who understand the struggles and the difficulty living with a disability. Thank you Casper and unleashed dog training! You have changed my life
I run a rescue and had problems with one of our dogs, I called casper up and he quickly came out and spent 2 hours with us working with him. Since then my rescue has put multiple dogs through his classes each new owner forever grateful. I would give casper more stars if I could.
You should think twice before you go to this man, to train your dog. All of his employees talk bad about how poor his communication is, doesn't speak to you he speaks at you and ultimately horrible customer service skills...
Casper is an amazing trainer! No problem is too big. He helped my 11 year old son deal with anxiety issues and now he can walk both our dogs (85lb & 55lb) by himself with confidence! He has empowered him and taught him how to stay in control of the dogs! It is great!
We love Unleashed Dog Training! I wish I knew about him when I first moved to Lejeune. We did the Petco classes and it was a total joke. Unleashed was way less expensive and fixed all of our issues in one class.
We worked with Casper and he gave us his cell phone number to text him if anything came up. The couple of times we did text him he always replied immediately and help us fix whatever was going on. Love these guys!
Casper is amazing! I was having so many issues with a new puppy so I called a trainer and Casper came over that night. I thought I knew how to train a dog, but he taught me a lot that made perfect sense as soon as he explained it. Within an hour our puppy was so much better and I had a new understanding of how dogs think and learn.
Casper doesn't do this for money, he truly loves dogs. I was having medical problems with the same puppy and Casper called his vet to get ideas and (out of his own pocket) he dropped off special dog food to clear up my pup's stomach issues.
I really can't believe how kind and dedicated he is. I recommend him to every dog owner. The guy trains seeing eye dogs and dogs for wounded warriors, he knows what he's doing. You want your dog to turn off light switches? Give Casper an hour.
I seriously can't say enough good things about him. I would have gotten rid of my puppy if it weren't for him. Oh yeah, and he's cheap! $100 for 6 classes or $30/hour to come to your house for a one on one!
You will not regret going with Unleashed Dog Training.
We have a one year old chocolate lab, Bella. Casper worked with us one time and I saw immediate changes in Bella. I am able to bring her for a walk now rather than her bring me for a walk. One of the biggest things is that everything Casper told me about training Bella he showed me, gave me examples and gave me the tools to do it when he was not there. I was so excited after the first training session and so pleased, I would recommend this to anyone with a dog. He is reasonably priced not like these other places that charge you a fortune. I can not say enough good things about our experience with Casper.
Unleashed dog training provides a professional, courteous, effective, and affordable dog training program. My wife and I both noticed that Casper's training had an immediate effect on our dog, Dante, after the very first session. I was amazed, he no longer jumped all over our guests! We have used Unleashed for boarding as well, which is very reasonably priced, and wouldn't go any where else. I have nothing but praise and good things to say for Casper and Unleashed Dog Training!
