In response to Katie's review above. The Boatyard is good, has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is great but I certainly would not put it in the inexpensive category with dinners at $15 to $22 range, and appetizers in the $8 up to $15 range. But I suppose if Katie is from NY City those prices could be considered "cheap." The BYG is priced about average for a better upscale restaurant in this area. Parking can be a pain on a busy night.
0HORRIBLE! Management rude, no reservation policy, kitchen way behind, food way over-rated, servers nasty!! NEVER go back!!
Best meal in Ithaca, hands down.
A great, relatively inexpensive place to eat out! Ask for a table with a view!
We went here for my nephew's college graduation and it was wonderful. The menu is eclectic and the food bountiful. We had dishes ranging from an unusual salmon tostada to a "two-handed" grilled chicken sandwich that could have fed a family. The kids loved the fact that the French fries were crispy on the outside, yet not greasy. They also have a nice wine menu as well. If you get here early, you should have no problem with a wait. They don't take reservations, by the way.
The food is AWESOME! I love the food. The problem is that if you try to go durning peak hours you will wait a minium of two hours and it is crowded as well as very loud. Go for lunch and you will love this place.
