Established in 1959, Chinn Elementary provides academic programs with emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes classes in mathematics, science and language arts. The school maintains a computer laboratory that has more than 30 systems. Chinn Elementary also has a library that stocks over 13,000 books. The school operates art, panther and Spanish clubs. It also maintains a student council. Chinn Elementary additionally has a parent-teacher association that organizes family reading nights and book fairs. It is governed by the Park Hill School District, which also manages several elementary, middle and high schools. The district operates through academic services, business and technology services, and research, evaluation and assessment departments.
