General Info

Owner/President of Cowgirls Unlimited, Inc., Jen Tyson, was born in our neighboring state of Louisiana in July of 1973. After graduating high school in the spring of 1991, she attended Louisiana State University (LSU) for 4.5 years where she obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration with a major in Finance. Jen’s first employer out of college was with American Express Financial Advisors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a financial analyst of client’s investments and business plans. During the summer of 1997 Jen moved to the big city of San Antonio where she was able to transfer and continue to work with American Express Financial Advisors for several more years, eventually accumulating the Office Management & Recruiting positions for both the San Antonio and Austin locations, managing well over 50+ personnel. While taking on a few extra side jobs here and there in the promotional and hospitality industry, an opportunity came her way to eventually begin her bartending business in 2001. She realized how passionate she was about making people happy and making sure people always had a good time with life. So she was able to connect with a few key business people in the San Antonio area who greatly helped her in building and structuring her business from the very beginning. One happy client led to another and one successful event led to another and many years later Cowgirls Unlimited, Inc. is a very well known, reputable and successful company in the San Antonio and largely surrounding areas. Cowgirls Unlimited, Inc. is not only a female owned company but also a female dominated company from start to finish. Our niche market began in the Sportsman’s & Gaming Banquet areas and quickly spread out to fully catering bar services for weddings, conventions, company parties, holiday parties, rodeo events, fishing tournaments, etc. For the past 7 years Cowgirls has also been involved in the promotional modeling industry supplying models to various brand awareness products. Aside from all her business responsibilities, Jen is also very active in her volunteer work for the community with the San Antonio Fiesta organization. She is a current member of the LoBello Women’s Organization as well as serving on the executive board of the El Rey Feo Royal Court of which both organizations help raise scholarship money for higher education. Both of these organizations require a large amount of volunteer hours in planning, preparing and executing fundraising events year around to raise these dollars for scholarships. Other memberships & certifications include: SBE (Small Business Enterprise), WBE (Woman Business Enterprise) and MBE (Minority Business Enterprise). If you cannot find Jen out in the work or volunteer community, you will most likely find her enjoying quality time with her horses, traveling or out on a boat, fishing. During some of her spare time Jen loves to team rope, sport fish and traveling to as many places as she can!
