I've been in the army for a few years now, but when I think of gun shops, I always remember MacGregor's Gun Shop. I bought a lot of guns at this store, from special factory orders to long-term consignments and had a couple old shotguns beautifully restored, and I got great prices on all of them. This place has come a long way since it started, and you'd be surprised how much stuff they can put on display in an old barn loft. It's totally worth the long, windy drive up old Glens Falls Mountain Road, whether you're looking for a new pre-owned rifle or pistol, cleaning supplies, ammo, some gun-smithing or bluing work or even just a cup of coffee and a long, friendly and informative talk with some knowledgable locals, from Bow hunters to State Troopers.
